This is Part 1 with Julie McCulloch interviewing Karma Tensum, the director for the Tibetan Children's Education Foundation, during the Port Townsends monthly Gallery Walk about Tibetan Thangkas. They have a school in Clement Town which is in the Doon Valley just below Woodstock School in India. They have been to Port Townsend several times now and are working on an artist in residence program at Centrum for 2010. They will bring a master carpet weaver, sand mandala monk and Tseten the master Thanka painter. They are trying to raise funds for tibetan kids education and preservation of tibetan culture in exile. |

The Vladimir Girls' Choir and Young Men's Quartet were in town October 27-30. They had a great time visiting Elevated Ice Cream and then gave us a fabulous public concert. See more videos here. |
